Welcome to one of the most exhilarating bucket-list adventures in the world. The Devil’s Pool experience allows thrill-seekers to plunge into a natural rock pool perched right on the lip of Victoria Falls — with nothing but a sheer drop and the roaring Zambezi River beneath you.
Available only during the dry season (mid-August to late December), this guided activity starts with a boat ride to Livingstone Island on the Zambian side of the falls. From there, you’ll take a short swim and climb to reach Devil’s Pool — a rock-enclosed pool that forms naturally at the edge of the falls when water levels are safe. Under the watchful eye of expert guides, you can lean over the edge, peer into the gorge, and even get that iconic Instagram shot.
It’s not just adrenaline — you’ll also explore Livingstone Island, enjoy a gourmet breakfast, lunch, or high tea (depending on your time slot), and learn the fascinating history of the place where David Livingstone first laid eyes on the falls.
